Vulcanolgy was the theme of the day once again as we headed into the most active volcanic area in New Zealand. Rain was forecast & sure enough on the journey north to Taupo it came. We made the trip in one go. The motel let us check in early which allowed us to get rid of the bags & explore. We decided to get our walk in early today. Walking over the hills & parkland from our flat to the Lookout at Mount Victoria in around an hour.
