We decided to get our walk in early today. Walking over the hills & parkland from our flat to the Lookout at Mount Victoria in around an hour. The views provided covered all areas of the Wellington harbour.
As we were in the nations capital we headed off to the national museum that contained the worlds only preserved colossal squid.
Following this cultural encounter we stopped for lunch at an Italian restaurant that specialises in seafood. I called them on this & tried the spaghetti marinara. The result didn't disappoint. Alan was determined to purchase another benie hat. He managed to find them on a 241 offer in the CBD. I tried to say that one of the ones chosen can only be worn by gap year students however he was not put off.
After waking back to the car we drove to Miramar to the WETA Cave to look round & watch a 25mins DVD on the work they do there. It was well worth the excursion.
We stopped off at the flat for an hour before heading to the gym believe it or not. I think all the food & beer had been catching up with us & it was nice I do some exercise. Not to mention the obligatory sauna, steam room, spa afterwards.
The evenings entertainment was at the Empire cinema that hosted the premier of the lord of the rings. Where we grabbed a light snack, in the very comfortable lounge, so not as to undo our gym work. The Avengers 3D certainly lived up to expectations.
