We arrived in Da Nang airport and got a prearranged lift to our guest house. It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in a house which had been converted into a hotel but it was just in the middle of an estate. We went to the room But the window wouldnt shut so there were lots of flies in the room there was also no air con so it was very hot. The next day we met with the owner and she told us about the town. Since it was far away from the beach and the town we rented a moped which was fun. We drove all the way around town and stopped to have a drink.
We then went to the beach and spent about 4 hours there, it was too hot to sunbathe so we just laid in the shade but it was still very hot. We got into the sea a few times as it was like getting into a bath, it was boiling. Later on we went back into town which was very nice, it was a very small town lit with lanterns and people were putting floating candles onto the river which was very pretty as we ate sat next to the river. It then started to rain, heavily. We waited under a tree for a while but it wasnt getting any lighter so we headed for the bike to go home. On the way home the roads were flooded with rain about 10 inches deep. And it was still raining heavy, so heavy that it was hurting as the drops hit us. When we got close we missed the turning and had to turn back, we arrived at the hostel soaked, there wasnt an inch of clothing that was dry. It would've been nice to stay here one more day the architecture of the town was very pretty and the beach was beautiful we didn't really get to look round the town because of the rain but it is monsoon season here so we can't complain that much.
