Last Tuesday it was Graham's Birthday, so we went out for a few drinks with some friends to celebrate. Our friends all work in different types of schools, so some came along early, as they had to be at work early the next morning, and others came late with me when we finished work at 10pm.A bought Graham a 'Cars - Lightening McQueen' chocolate Birthday cake, with candles, and we all sang Happy Birthday to him.I also brought along an assortment of masks, balloons, party poppers, fireworks, etc, as I knew Graham would appreciate this!We had a great night, and Graham really enjoyed his Birthday.
This weekend was a pretty relaxing one.On Saturday it was really sunny so we went to the baseball game.Graham went early with some friends to get the tickets and good seats.A good job he did, as the game was a sell-out.He also got a Kia Tigers shirt, a Birthday present from me.I came along later with some other friends and we put on face paints, in the teams colours.Unfortunately though, our team lost very badly.Such a shame, when so many people had come along. We left a little early to get a taxi, and on the way out one of the foreign players 'Travis' was leaving in his car, so Graham went over to say hello and shake his hand!
Saturday night we went to a friend's house for a while and then downtown to meet some others for drinks. We went to a nice rooftop bar, as the evening was so warm.We took a taxi home, which was quite an experience. Now the taxi drivers here are pretty crazy. They whizz through traffic and red lights as they don't want you to accuse them of going too slow. So, there are several times when you think you're going to crash (and almost do) and in Busan a few weeks ago our taxi driver actually hit someone (he was ok though). They also, usually have the seatbelts under the seat, so you can't use them. Our friends took a taxi the other night, and the driver fell asleep! They asked him to stop, and they got out and found another cab.Anyway, the guy on Saturday night was very jolly, and turned up his music very loud (it was Wipeout). He then took out a pair of drum sticks, and every time we stopped he started to drum on the dash, and various other parts of the car.He then let us have a go with the drum sticks. The other drivers gave us some very strange looks, as the windows were down, music was blaring out, and all 5 of us were dancing around in the car!I hope we find him again.
On Sunday the sun was shining again, so we went over to our friend's place to sunbath on their roof.We had a great relaxing day, just chilling out in the sun and chatting.I had a brief moment of panic when I thought I had lost my purse the night before, but eventually found it in our friend's apartment.I had not even taken it out with me, so obviously I never paid for any drinks! Some friends came over on Sunday night to chat about travelling, as we are going to places that they have been and vice versa. It was great to talk again about some of the places we went to last year, and to hear about China, in preparation for our trip in September.

Paul All sounds good guys and Ok, maybe I'm a bit late in catching up...but where the hell are June's blog entries?!
Maggie Hey Paul. In June we visited different places each weekend, so they are under Tongyeong, Hongdo and Beopseong (or something like that!) Are you using the new websire or the old one, as I find the new one quite confusing! x
