We've had a lovely last day. Got free bike hire at the hotel so we made the most of it and cycled down to Venice Beach for a splash around then back toward Malibu for another splash around. Imogen just adores the water - a real beach babe. Found a really good veggie cafe for tea - probably the healthiest food we've had in six weeks. A lovely day today - no driving, sun, sand and fun! Imogen and Nick enjoyed their surf lesson and did really well catching the waves. They were both thoroughly shattered after an hour and a half but buzzing nonetheless. We made it! We've travelled 4,800 miles, through 13 states, seen some wonderful sites and had the time of our lives. We're all totally knackered but already talking about next year's road trip... We only had 111 miles to travel today but the traffic through LA and the many traffic lights made our journey rather slow.
