Left campsite and went for some breakkie in matakohe, it's just a small place so didn't have much just a cafe, a school and a museum! Left and drove along the coast to bayleys beach which is a beach that you can drive on! With us having the campervan we decided it might not be the best idea in case of insurance purposes so just stopped for a wee walk! Was a nice day but a bit breezy! Went onto dargaville and stopped for some lunch! Then we went and drove up through the Kauri forest. Kauri are the biggest trees in new Zealand. We went a walk to see the biggest living one and it was massive! They reckon its between 2500-3000 years old! Then saw the four sisters, which is 4 kauri trees all clumped together. Was good to see them but the photos don't show how massive they were! Drove onto opinoni and got a campsite for the night. By this point it had started bucketing down again! So we read in camper van and Graeme went for a run. Then made tea which was soup tonight! Then we had bought some fruit earlier so we made that into a fruit salad. Man it is awesome! The fruit just tastes so good over here. i know they should be good but the kiwis were amazing! had some of that then headed to bed!
