Hello! hope we are all well. been busy the past few weeks with work and gym etc! settling into nz life thats for sure. The weekend of 10-12th of feb was when the garnock boys went on tour, so graeme was sad to be missing that and i was also missing a hen weekend and the rugby girls weekend away so we were missing hom…
David Yeah, I wish I could meet the ideal schedule! The only time I was able to do that cntsisteonly was when I was unemployed T__T So yeah it's damned if you do, damned if you don't, since I refuse to rush production I have not posted/ censored maybe one or two posts ever, they were posts that had swearing in a non-funny, offensive way. In general though there's an expectation of trust. If I just stopped posting everything that was bad , then I'd be like you know China or some awful place and that's not very nice. You wouldn't be able to trust any of the comments knowing that I could be deleting all the ones that I disliked.
re: Napier, New ZealandKinf Cute!!! It doesn't really feel like fall here eiethr. We're in the 90s still! Bah! This weekend I considered decorating for Fall for about half a second Decided it was too hot and that I'd wait! Thanks for sharing on Fancy This Fridays!!!
re: Napier, New ZealandAntwnis The one think that did worry me going by mseylf, was being by mseylf. People can tell you all the time that it's not gonna be like that. But just go out there and experience it. You'll find out that it's the easiest way of meeting people. You have to stay in hostels though. This doesn't mean you have to stay in dorms. Take a private room if you want privacy, but make sure the place has a communal area. And you will never be alone unless you choose to.Mirjam
re: photo from 19 September 2011Camille This might sound odd, but do you have a specified coinnvteon for what you do with a speech bubble when it intersects with the edge of a panel, or does it vary on a case by case basis? I've noticed your usual M.O. seems to be to just erase the line where the border would normally be, which I think looks really neat and clean, but I've been noticing lately (now that I've started looking for it) that it oscillates sometimes. Do you do this intentionally to help communicate specific ideas, like how cramped and annoyed Pinter is as a result of Angora's bombardment of questions at the top of 4.03, or just because sometimes it looks better and sometimes it doesn't?You don't seem like the type of person to do anything by accident, no matter how minor, so I was just curious.
re: Hamilton, New ZealandCecilia Sir Richard Branson talks about protecting the envinorment and possibly using non-fossil based fuel on his airline planes. Yet how can this JOY RIDE on the Virgin Galatic help in the green house effect caused by this WhiteKnightTwo vehicle? If it is used for purely scientific reason for the flights, then sure, it is justified flight. But if it is mostly used for JOY RIDE for the rich, then the carbon footprint is too much.
re: photo from 30 November 2011Gaetan i actually srtated doing that a while ago, but then google maps crashed and i never went back to finish it. maybe i'll do that some bored-out-of-our-minds day in a small town. thanks for the suggestion, friend. (this Q ain't making the F.A.Q. though )
re: photo from 30 November 2011Yuu Don't be silly, Der-Shing! Anyone that has a problem with your upatde schedule seems to be pretty quiet about it here (Unless they're flaming you in secret little one-on-one flame wars? I think you'd win, anyway.) The way I see it, it's a pleasure to be able to see new pages it doesn't matter when they're posted. Your health is far more important than when you upatde! It's not like you've hit a wall and just stopped, you have a reason to not upatde. AND a new job, congratulations! That's really exciting news!Anyway, I hope everything works out for you. Don't let it get you down. As for jaw problems well, as long as you aren't growing excess skin around your mouth and speak ing in sin gle syl la bles. :)
re: Hamilton, New ZealandYola I don't understand why annoye who is traveling on this beautiful island would want to fly. You get stressed out at the airport, you get stressed out on the plane and once you have landed at you destination and get to where ever it is you are going you are so tense and tight that you need a few hours to get it out of your system.
re:Padma Hello Der-shing Helmer, and thanks for the great read!On your point I must coesnfs, that some mediocre web comics can be bearable because they update often and on time (say, *cough* Wayward Sons). But when YOU are actually capable of this kind of quality, you should rather worry about keeping that standard and really not about quantity at all.Anyway, I don't think you can shut up all the spoiled children and anonymous a-holes out there on the internets by way of responding to theme280a6 Even if you told off all of those reading now, later other idiots will join (bet on it) who won't have read this thread. The only long time solution is to stop wasting emotional energy, period. You are so very good at your own thing, and you should focus on that. Best of health going forward and cheers :-)
re: Hamilton, New ZealandAkash Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the megasse home a little bit, but other than that, this is great blog. An excellent read. I'll definitely be back.
