Today has no blog entry as it's a day that we lost! Got on flight in LA at 23:40 and arrived in NZ on Monday morning and flight was only 14 hours! Flight was ok but not great! we were flying qantas this time and would say that we wouldn't really recommend them, emirates were better last time! So that was ( or wasnt) Sunday!

Today last day in LA, can't believe that's us been here a week already! Took it easy this morning just packed and spoke to family on Skype which was fab! Then headed to the pier about 12pm. Had some lunch at santa monica place. have noticed that LA seem to have a lot of turkey on their menu which i am loving! Down to pier again today and walked along the promenade. Passed the original muscle beach which was very interesting to watch! A lot of vanity there but some of the guys were pretty strong! Kept walking along and got to venice beach- strangest place ever! Was lots of wee market stalls selling rubbish, lots of homeless people and total weirdos! Today got shuttle to pier again ( very handy) and decided to go on the hop on hop off to downtown la. Only thing was to get to the start we had to go through Santa monica and Hollywood again, so we were getting good at the commentary by this point! Took about two hours then changed to the purple route for downtown la. It's quite liked new York with all the Highrise buildings. Saw staples centre, nokia centre, an urban jail and was different bits like Chinatown. ...

Today was first day in LA. Got free shuttle down to Santa Monica pier from hotel. Lovely wee place! Walked along pier and got breakkie then decided to book a hop on hop off bus tour as LA not very easy to get around! Went round Santa Monica and beverly hills which was good to see and good commentary on the bus! Got off and changed to the Hollywood route, passed many studios then got off at walk of fame.
