Geraldton has a great waterfront along Champion Bay for families. The wharf end where we stayed had lots of silos of wheat and commercial fishing boats. Lots of development going on so the shopping wasn't too bad. We went to the Melb Cup Race Day where they had lots of seating and good view of the track which didn't prove lucky for us. We took in a tour of the hospital and goal, museum (Batavia wreck) and cathedral. It was windy most days and a bit cool at times. We went for a drive to see Greenough with friends and saw lots of leaning trees.
