Hello! Yesterday we arrived at River Valley Lodge and here is where we will be working for 2 weeks in exchange for...free accommodation, 3 meals a day, free wifi, free laundry, free use of the spa and one activity (horse trekking or white water rafting) per week! Last night we were really spoilt and got given the nicest room in the whole lodge! Today we had a very long day of work though, deep cleaning all the rooms, showers, toilets, common area (which is huge) and both kitchens!! It was hard but I think we'll definitely have a good time here, the people are really nice and its quite nice to actually be in a valley where all there is is a river and not much else until the next town which is 45 mins drive away! We are the only civilisation here so it's pretty cool! Hopefully me and Frazer won't drive each other too crazy.. haha. It's a double shift so we do have a 2-3 hour break during the day to go and do some walks and swim in the river and stuff which will be good! Will try and keep blogging but it might be pretty similar stuff for the next 2 weeks..next stop after here is Wellington though so we're looking forward to going back there :) we had to say goodbye to our group of friends we had been with since our first trip to auckland today so that was quite sad but we're now going to upload some more photos of what we've been up to! :)
