After leaving Gemtree we had a 400 odd km drive to get to the Devils Marbles. We had a few hours of daylight to walk around, explore and climb the gorgeous and amazing rock and boulder formations. The boys of course were in heaven, finding cubbyholes to play in and huge boulders to climb, 'twas a natural playground! Thank goodness the warmer weather has come back now (after a few too many cold days) so we could enjoy a beautiful night under the stars, listening to crickets chirping and dingos howling in the distance. Up in the morning to keep heading north. Stopped at Tennant Creek for lunch and a few supplies then more driving to a lakeside camp, Longreach Waterhole, near a small community called Elliot. The boys loved being able to have a swim once we arrived. We were treated to beautiful sunset and had a relaxing evening.
