This morning we had an early start as we headed for Australia Zoo. So after breakfast we took the short walk to Hotel Jen where we caught our bus to the zoo, stopping on the way to look at the glass mountains. This morning we got up and dressed and said goodbye to Lucy and the kids and our Australian home for the last few days and started our journey to Cairns. Wow what a day! The day started with an earlyish get up so we could drive to Cairns to catch our ferry to Fitzroy Island. The drive took just under 2 hours but the roads are so easy to drive here it was a pretty easy journey.
