Day 47: This morning we decide to move spots. Last night the simeltaneous stereo of the TV's did all our heads in. And waking up to a nose full of smoke is not part of the plan.
So I go to the big rig section and scope a good site, we throw everything into the van and move. We only park the van, as we are running late to get the car to the mechanic.
After we get lost by not taking the right turn, we finally get to Dundee Beach and drop the car off at the mechanic.
Bruce and Anne are staying out here with family, and they kindly offer to do the pick up/drop off whilst the car gets serviced.
So we spend the day at the beach...a beach you can't swim at of course! We have a great lunch at the pub and fish for the afternoon...with no luck!
We believe that there are no fish up here and it's all a furfy, just to get the tourists here! No, it was a very poor wet, and so it is a very poor season for fishing.
With the car done, we leave Bruce and Annie, and Dundee Beach...fishless, but content with having spent the day at a very isolated and beautiful place in the NT...a privilege.
Slightly burnt and totally knackered, we unpack and re-set up, and enjoy a BBQ dinner OUTSIDE, smoke-and-TV-free.
Another great day in the Top End...
