The next 2 days were spent in Udaipur. The main site here was the City Palace which was quite spectacular. There was so much detail put into everything and there were nice views from the windows. It had been converted into a museum so it was very interesting to see and read about the history of Udaipur. After our visit to the City Palace we took a walk round the busy streets of Udaipur browsing some of the clothes stalls. It was very crowded and at one point we got trapped in actual traffic jam. We were on foot, but for about 5 minutes no car, bike, cow, elephant or person could move an inch anywhere. It was a complete jam! Luckily we got out of it and headed for some lunch to recover.

That afternoon we took a boat trip round a lake, Swaroop Sagar. It was very picturesque. After that we went to the main Lake, Lake Pichola, a lake which has a palace in the middle of it to watch the sunset. All in all I enjoyed Udaipur and all it had to offer. The next morning we were off to Johpur.
