In Pushkar we had time to relax which was a bit of a relief as we had been doing a LOT of sightseeing! It was nice to discover that our room had a balcony...so for much of the afternoon we made good use of it and for the first time in our trip sat out in the sun undisturbed. Later we took a walk through the bazaar. It was only a short walk away from our hotel which was nice as it meant we could go in our own time with no need to be escorted back and forth by out driver. Pushkar is quite a small place but pretty touristy. Both nights we spent in Pushkar we watched the sun setting over Pushkar Lake. This is the lake where the locals bathe to wash away their sins so it was quite a spectacle.
We were able to eat out both nights in Pushkar as well, both chosen from our guide book. They were both very good and great value for money. Although there were not many sites to see in Pushkar I enjoyed taking some time out and some time on our own to do as we wanted...because before we knew it, we were on the road again!
