Another day in paradise..... we awoke to the same old thing.......blue sky's, sunshine and warmth. Today's planned high is for 91 degrees (F) and sunny. The heat is offset by a pleasant breeze that comes north off the lake and up the mountain to El Dorado. Casa 50 does not have air-conditioning, but does have ceiling fans everywhere, including the patio and Mirado.

Today we left with Jonelle, ex Hawaiian expat (by way of San Diego) in her car for the Organic Market at the mall down the road. Good deal overall, homemade and grown by some of the locals so Deb & I took away - portobello quiche - chicken and curry somasa - chicken rice and turkey soup - lemon loaf and a berry tart with some fresh asparagus and cucumbers - All for just over $10.00 Canadian.

Another little issue cropped up as we headed out the door with Jonelle. I was locking the wrought iron security door to Casa 50 and wouldn't ya know it - the key got stuck in the lock and I couldn't remove it. We ended up leaving the key in the lock with the idea that if I couldn't get it out - neither could anyone else. I've since removed the lock from the door and we'll have to get a locksmith to break-in or possibly purchase a replacement.

Once we left the market, Jonelle took us for a tour of the Chapala area so that we could get acquainted before we make our taxi ride into town for some further exploration. Other than that, today's been a quiet day at Casa 50. We're sitting on the patio and updating the blog as we listen to the fountain cascade away. We've had a drink invitation by our neighbour's Terry and Bernice to join them on their Mirador tonight for wine.

It seems that so many of the local Gringo's from NOB seem to like the June, July and August timelines here in Ajijic despite the fact that it's the "rainy season" - they say that it makes it like Ireland, everything turns an amazing shade of green and all the flowers are in full bloom. It apparently doesn't impact any of their day-time activities because it rains at night. How Perfect.

We have ROSIE our cleaner coming in tomorrow morning for her four (4) hours of cleanup and the gardener is scheduled to be here Thursday. With Rosie's arrival scheduled for 09:00 a.m. we're to be here to open up - leave and be back at 1:00 p.m. with her peso's. We'll update this tomorrow together with our first planned trip into Chapala.
