Too hot in Toulouse so maybe a trip into the Pyrenees would be cooler.........so much for that theory...39 today. Very prehistoric area. Time to head south. Thought we'd go and find Tana Umanga in Toulouse. Topography, climate and house styles change as you get further south......hotter, hillier and the houses appeared more spacious and spread-out. Etap Hotel was about 20 minutes out of the city centre in Labege. Very small room, but thankfully was airconditioned. Ventured into city late in the day for a quick look. Much nicer than Paris at first glance. Ended up getting a pizza for dinner - shop...

Caught-up with Neil and Gill again today. Arranged to meet at Oradour sur Glane as they and their friends Bernie and Kate were close by at Paethenay and they hadn't been there. Took in the exhibition this time round before having another walk around the memorial village. Shared in their picnic before going to a cafe for drinks and ice-creams. Said our goodbyes then headed back to Lignac via McDonalds in Limoge to catch-up with the uploads.

Le Grande Fete en Lignac. What a scorcher! Too hot to do much other than a look around the market stalls, a quick beer and a baguette back at the house. The promised weather change to cloud and showers didn't eventuate (just a bit of drizzle overnight) and the day dawned hot, humid and sunny again. John took us off to the Tremouille Reptile Park, where we spent a couple of hours looking close-up at snakes, lizards and turtles.
