Day 42 16/07/2013 Broome to home.
The mood at breakfast was somewhat sombre this morning as we all contemplated going back to the 'real world'. It has been a fantastic week. Once we were all packed up we were ferried by tender onto the beach at Gantheaume Point, for our last 'wet' landing. We said a very fond farewell to the crew. A bus was waiting to take us into town.
Dave and I went to the storage facility to drop off our 'summer' clothes and pick up some clothes more suited to winter back home. We then dropped our luggage off at the Kimberley Quest office and had a coffee in town; as did most of our cruise companions.
Some of us were on the same flight back to Sydney, but basically we all went our separate ways today, taking lots of happy memories, photos and stories home with us, I'm sure.
Our flight was on time; we picked up a rental car in Sydney, and we were home by 11pm. This blog will not be written again for a couple of weeks. Hope you are still enjoying reading it!

Caryl Hello Estelle, After weeks of busy activities away we're ,like you, at home & have just had a minute to check your blog. You'll still be on a high I'm sure after your boat trip - isn't it a fabulous wilderness?
