Day 66 23/08/2013 Uluru-Kata Tjuta NPIt has been quite an exciting day! However, I'll start at the beginning. The combination of our late night, over-indulgence of food compared to our usual camping fare, and the time change from WA to NT, resulted in us not waking until 6.30 am (or even later for Dave!), and so we missed the sunrise!!! Day 65 22/08/2013 Kalkutkatjara Camp to Yulara (Ayers Rock) Resort.Because of the time change we were not on the road until 8.30am. Despite all reports to the contrary, the road was no better on the NT side of the border! Maybe it just felt better because it was shorter! Day 64 21/08/2013 Paradise Bush Camp to Kalkutkatjara (Docker River) Bush Camp.We were up very, very early today, but the bonus was seeing the full moon setting just before the sun rose. We lit our fire again....mainly for warmth, but also to heat some water for personal washing. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast, did the washing up, and were still on our way by 7.30am! Day 63 20/08/2013 Leonora to 'Paradise Bush Camp' via Laverton.It was very cold this morning and we were up early. We had a cup of tea and packed up. We went to look at the ghost town of Gwalia and had breakfast there. We took some photos of the heritage buildings then headed back into town for fuel, before taking the road to Laverton.
