Visited the temple today. No idea how many steps but last nights beer made it hard work for us all. Soaked through by the time we got to the top and it was only 9.30! Barefoot time again, padding over the hot stones, hatless, showing respect to some 138 Buddha's. Shod again we began our way down when one of our party went over on her ankle and fell. It looked broken but after being carried down and a visit to the hospital Jeanette rejoined the party with a bad sprain with heavy bandaging. Back to the bus and we went to a spice farm for lunch. Jeanette hobbled to the table and following our meal was left seated while we wandered through the garden looking at spices and having explained their medical uses in Ayurvedic medicine. When we got back to Jeanette we were amazed as her bandage was removed and she was hobbling about. She had been massaged using the local product and this had removed all swelling. What an advert for Ayurvedic medicine! Batik factory next and then on to Kandy. Shower and now in the Bar! Surprise, surprise! Take care R & D
