Today was a bit of a disappointing day - we arrived in Ketchikan and it was pouring it down with rain. This didn't deter Megan and I and we ventured out to see the town. What a move! Today we crusied into a place called Glacier Bay - a rare visit for cruise ships and one of the main reasons we chose Holland America (as it is one of two liners that visit). First thing we saw when we entered was 5 brown bears eating the carcass of a dead whale. What a find! So we cruised up from Juneau to our next destination which was a little mining town called Skagway. Skagway was a town born from a gold rush in the Klondike mountains. We were also privy to some great stories aboutthe old brothels and con artists that used to fill the town.
