Hi guys – so we are now in New Hampshire Skiing/Boarding.
It all started when Dan (Dave’s friend) picked us up from the most gruelling Greyhound journey ever! We had one guy singing out loud behind us, and another thunder snoring from the side. Seriously not fun - esp. for 4 hours from DC to NYC.
Anyhow we were staying with Dan in Boston for the weekend, which was nice and chilled – saw Avatar (amasing film!!!!! Seriously recommended!). We also had a big night out in Boston with some friends of Dave’s, Jeff, Mike, Megan and Kev. Was great to see everyone – Photos are online now… Great to see everyone…
Dan had also bought American Football Tickets (Playoff game) for the New England Patriots Vs the Baltimore Ravens – to say it was cold was really an under-exudation. It was absolutely freezing – around minus 12 degrees. The stadium was huge and from a Fulham fan that isn’t saying much – oooh I miss the cottage.
The game was interesting to watch – but the Patriots had their worst game ever – being destroyed 36 – 14.
From there it was off to New Hampshire to stay in Dan's Cabin, but it is Jeff who took us up and is staying with us (they have both been so hospitable, and brilliant fun). The setting is perfect, in the middle of the woods, surrounded by snow, just off a little town called North Conway. Megan bought herself a full ski kit, and we have skied Attitash and Wildcat. They are both stunning settings but wildcat has been the far more challenging mountain – I nearly killed myself on the Cougar run (Moguls and Rocks!). Megan is really enjoying her first time on a mountain and doing really well. Off for more skiing – we have clocked 8 hours so far… Love it!
