After a great trip to the Grnd Canyon - which by the way is again completely awe inspiring in in vastness. We were set to drive to LA. LA is huge! and very very difficult to navigate, although I think we did very well. Yosemite was beautiful, the drive was pretty easy at just under 4 hours. We were lucky enough to stay in the Valley itself, having a bbq for dinner and a bonfire to keep the bears away. When we arrived we were also attacked by the local squirrel population, who are not afraid to get into your car and steal things. (we speak from experience).
