Relaxing day at Cable Beach!

Wave surfing.
Sand castles.
Sun baking.
Reading.

Lunch at Zanders when we needed refuelling. Saw whales breaching in the distance.

JD, Matilda and I went to do a recki on the Oaks for the Edwards trip next year then back to the pool before we caught a taxi into town. After we extended our camp site one last time. We just haven't been ready to say good bye to cable Beach so our trip to Tom Price will be a bit quicker with less stops. We have really settled into the relaxed groove of Broome and aren't quite ready to leave.

Tim and Fidge had suggested we do a bit of a pub crawl of Broome town. First stop was Matsos brewery. JD tried a couple of their best brews. A short walk to our next stop "Mangrove" to watch the sun go down over the Mangrove swamp, watching millions of bats flying off in search of food at sunset and have some dinner.
The girls entertained a little boy they had come across earlier in our travels.

We walked into town to get an ice cream and a cab. We called 3 over all to collect us from the central town green
But unfortunately this wasn't the best hanging out spot unless you are an inebriated indigenous local, none of our taxis arrived so we moved on to a different spot and eventually hailed one to take us back across town (on the other side of the airport- we have wondered what the town planner was thinking!) to camp.
