Day 61- Thursday 7th September
.
Not a dry eye as we sadly say good bye to Tom price and the Agnew's.
It was a stroke of luck that Tim's first job of the day was in Paraburdoo, so we met up with him for one last hug and a coffee in Paraburdoo, oh and Matilda had a quick vomit due to car sickness. Disappointingly the cafe was closed for winter so we settled on a hug, and finally hit the road.
.
Spent our trip writing Tom Price poems, (individually posted as separate blogs, some better than others, if you haven't made it as a writer by 45 then maybe you won't) and finding other ways to entertain our selves without iPads/pods as we all seem happier without them. Drawing on the windows with their feet was a great source of amusement.
.
It's a long driving day!
Tom Price to Exmouth 640 kms which according to MAPS would take us 8 hours 51 minutes, what a load of rubbish, after hearing about the big Mine trucks fuel consumption of 50 meters per litre, JD had the pedal to the metal and we were flying along at around 110kms.
.
Only two buildings along the way between Paraburdoo and Exmouth! One of which, Nanutarra Roadhouse, we stopped at for some fuel, van and human.
.
We arrived at the Exmouth Big 4 camp ground in time to set up have some tea and watch a movie.
A Karijini pen came in handy when my only wine glass was "accidentally" broken. JD and Olivia did a bit of magyvering and put it back together!
.
JD escaping the chaos, pitched the tent for a quiet night.
