Day 71- Sunday 17 September
.
OHD-
We wake up, better day than yesterday, the wind died down, and I set off to find the shell I lost yesterday. Half way down the road I caught sight of it, a dark hazel Cowrie shell. I ran back like the wind to the camper and shouted 'found it' with a big smile on my face. After, I did my journal and we set off. The drive was really bumpy and nearly shook the van to pieces.
.
(Crossed the Tropic of Capricorn)
.
(Called into Canarvon, the home of the lunch box banana! A small seaside town we had lunch we'll sort of....sushi and chips from the bakery not the best, stocked up on supplies and continued on our way to Wooramel).
.
3 hours later we arrived in Woomarel what a lovely day, spa time! The water was 40 degrees from 240 metres under ground from the up side down river that's hot. It smelled like iron ore and magnesium. The merkie water turned our bathers brown and made us smell. We spend about half an hour there and then have a shower in an old water tank converted into a bathroom.
.
There was cows walking around and grazing on brown grass everywhere. Matilda and I were playing with the horses that were there. We went back to have dinner we had yummy butter chicken my favourite. Then we lit a fire it crackled and shot sparks it was warm on my legs as Dad threw a log on it, we got out the packet of marshmallows. We toasted 3 each I burnt all of mine it got cold so we put out the fire and went inside to bed. My favourite camp spot so far!
