Breakfast was from 6.30 to 11am. How can anyone keep eating breakfast constantly for 4 and a half hours? Only joking. Still had to finish juggling stuff in suitcases as Jet 2 don't allow you to combine luggage and one was half empty and 2 kilos over while the other was straining at the seams and 7 kilos under. So we went to breakfast at 9 and then went back up to the room to swap shoes and other heavy stuff around. Have now checked out and stored our luggage as our airport transfer car is not arriving till 1800 hours. If it had been cooler we would have had another explore about but we don't want to be standing waiting on buses or trams in this heat so we won't be venturing far away. Lovely views of the boats going up and down the Danube from the hotel anyway and it is air conditioned and has good wifi. Eventually decided to go to the metro station and just go four stops and see where we ended up. At least it was a bit cooler in the metro. Didn't stay out long though as it was unbearably hot. Went back to the hotel and went down to the fitness centre for yet another shower. Got very hot at the airport while waiting to get on the plane so much so that I had to sit down on a step and a doctor asked if I was OK and to get up slowly when we moved on. I must have looked as bad as I felt! Once I got on the plane and had a couple of glasses of iced water I felt a lot better.
Plane was late getting away and landed miles from the terminal. First time I've landed at Edinburgh and had to be bussed from the plane to arrivals. Felt as if we were having a tour of the whole airport. Finally got through passport control and picked up our luggage etc and waited on the bus to the car park. It was 2359 by the time we left the car park. Stopped for petrol and milk and got home at 1am. Holiday is over. Oh well. Have the next one to look forward to.
