This morning after breakfast we sat in the lounge until called for our taxi which got us to our hotel with a guided commentary all the way! We got into our room immediately which was a bonus. What a lovely room. Biggest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel room. There was even a desk in the room and decent Lan and wifi. Bonus after no internet since Monday. Decided to go out for a walk and explore early as it is supposed to be even hotter than yesterday this afternoon. In fact I think I'll carry the umbrella as a sunshade. Had a walk and took the bus over the bridge to the Pest side of the river. Had lunch and it was getting hot by then so got the metro back. Had a shower. Now relaxing for a bit till after the hot time of day.
At 6pm we got the tram across the bridge and found a really nice Italian for dinner. I really must remember not to take a bruschetta when in Europe. I was already full by the time the pizza and pasta arrived.
George managed most of his pizza but I only had about 10% of my pasta. Why do they make the portions so big? If we'd known we would have only had the pizza or the pasta. Definitely not both.
No wonder it was so hot today. We saw a thermometer saying it was 36 at 7pm! As we have had quite tiring days with all the guided tours every day we just came back to the hotel after dinner and are relaxing with the bottle of champagne George got for his birthday from Transocean which we hadn't had time to drink before.
