The sea has been quite rough since we got into the English Channel after leaving Amsterdam. But it's not as rough as it was on the cruise to Iceland earlier this year. We have taken the precaution of wearing our sea bands and also taking a seasick pill as a preventive measure. There are certainly a few less people going about on deck. Just had a walk through the city centre today. Have done the touristy things before. In Amsterdam you always have to beware of cyclists. They creep up on you so quietly and appear to be a law unto themselves, cutting across from the cycle lane at a moments notice. Boat berthed here this morning and after breakfast had a walk down to the windmills. Very picturesque. At 11am set sail for Cologne. On the way passed some cows sitting on the beach. That's a first. Now it is misty and rainy. That's not supposed to happen on holiday. Had a super evening of dancing. The floor is small ( cosy) but there are only 3 or 4 couples that dance so it's fine. Worried sick when we got to the airport. The queue for bag drop was awful. At 6.10 got taken to the front of the queue fortunately. Finally got to security at 6.20 and boarding was supposed to close at 6.30! Then I beeped going through the scanner and had to queue to go through the full body scanner. Was worried sick.
