Yesterday it was goodbye to Italy as we headed north to our next destination. After the man made beauty of Venice we were off to a different kind of beauty. The natural beauty of Switzerland. Our Swiss stop for the next 2 nights was Grindelwald which we have been to before. That doesn't matter though as you can never get sick of somewhere so spectacular. Last night we had dinner included so wandered to a local restaurant and ate up a storm, washed down by ice beer. Today was a pretty casual day for Jac & I. Most of the group had gone sky diving or to the top of Jungfraujoch but Jac & I took it easy. We had a sleep in then some breaky. We were going to catch a train in to so wandered up to the train station. It was midday by then so we sussed out the price of train tickets which came to about €50 return. Once again we have been there before so we decided to give it a miss and just relax as we have done so much in the last month. We wandered through the town and stopped at the supermarket to grab stuff for a picnic. Then wandered back down the hill stopping halfway to make our salad rolls. Sitting on the bench in 22 degree weather, eating lunch with a view of the Eiger Mountain in front of us was just what life is about. We sat for an hour before heading back to the hostel where we nanna napped for the afternoon. Once everyone was back we made our way to the restaurant from last night where we had a traditional Swiss feed. Jac settled for Rosti whilst I shared a cheese fondue with Tim, our awesome tour leader. Having knocked off one fondue another table couldn't finish theirs so we continued the cheese experience. Really hoping for no cheese nightmares tonight. Then it was a few more beers before heading back to pack our bags and snooze for the night. Today may have been the last of our nice weather for a few days which we are sad about. We are also sad to say goodbye to Switzerland, just like every other country. Even though we have been here before you can never get enough of these places. It looks a little different this time as their was still quite a cover of snow around which had burnt a fair bit of the grass and made the rivers run dirty. But even with that it still has more beauty than many countries could wish to possess.
