Today was a bit of a nothing day. We jumped in the car mid morning and headed off to the last parts of the island we hadn't seen. Nothing really to report. As we had now been to every part of the island we decided to head back over to Sant Antoni for a late lunch. Being Monday more things would be open right? Um, no. Probably quieter than yesterday. So we had a quick bite at Burger King then returned to Ibiza Town for a stop off at the supermarket. Then back home by about 5pm and a phone call to the car hire mob to pick it up early. No point in paying for parking until 12pm tomorrow when we have nowhere really left to explore.
We have whinged a bit on this trip about being in cities all the time but I guess the reason for all the people being there is because there is stuff to do. We really feel at the moment that we are just filling in time until our trip to Madrid. Unfortunately our flight doesn't leave until 5pm on Wednesday so it is really two more full days left here. We will do some washing tomorrow and wander up to the old fort which dominates the town. The one good thing is with all this downtime it will give Jac's ankle a chance of recovery.
On a side note the drivers here are amazing at reverse parking on either side of the street. As everything criss crosses as one way streets that are narrow I guess they have to be. I haven't seen anyone have to take more than one go and they fit their cars in ridiculously tight spaces. It's a shame the rest of their driving isn't great. They pull out in front of you, stop in the middle of the roads holding up traffic for no real reason and have a real objection to blinkers. I guess they are just trying to make some excitement on the island in the winter months. At least it didn't rain today. Oh wait, yes it did. And it's still raining now.
So after such a cheery post I'd better be off. Don't want to come across as too much of a whinger. Suck it up Pantlins.
