Our earliest start yet as it is the longest drive of the tour. Jac & I wanted seats up the front of the bus so were lucky enough to get there first. With the prime seats taken we headed back & had a nice casual breakfast. Then we were off from Berlin & barreling down the highway to our final stop of Amsterdam. We stopped for lunch at a services then continued for the next few hours to our accommodation. With the amazing weather we have had we were sad that it rained the whole way and the temperature had dropped. But that is out of our control & we won't let it affect our final night. Once we checked in we got straight back on the bus & Phil dropped us in to Amsterdam city centre. Here we exited & Tim took us down the main street to Dam square. He gave us a quick orientation then we were on our own for the next few hours. Jac, Kez, Jack, Chandler, Betsy, Janet & I went for a wander through the red light district before stopping at a Coffee Shop for the next few hours, followed by a steak dinner. We then returned to the Square to meet Tim who took us on a walking tour of the city. It was bitterly cold so we thankfully went at a brisk pace as he took us past the sex shops & girls in the windows. We all loved it but it was the Malaysians who were the ones to make the most fuss, obviously very different to what they have ever seen. The tour culminated at a Coffee shop where everyone bought a few things. Our group left the rest & we wandered along in the red light district a bit before catching our shuttle at midnight. We returned home from the night all pretty quiet. It has been a case of Amsterdamage for a few. A great way to spend the last night.
