Today we headed to an Internet cafe to do some internety things like banking and printing of plane tickets. We spent a few hours before heading back along the boardwalks for lunch by the sea. After another great feed we continued down to Gzira and Ta'Xbiex for a look around the shops and a view of Valletta fort. We then jumped on an old Bedford bus to get us back to St Julians so Jac could have a snooze before our night out.
At night we headed out to the Knights Live Dinner Spectacular which was to recreate the invasion by the Ottoman Empire of Malta in 1562. I convinced Jac to go as I have never been to a theatre restaurant and knew it would be brilliant. So we boarded the bus and headed out of town to the arena to see sword fights, horses, firing muskets and buxom wenches.
Well unfortunately the show was a let down. It was really just a confusingly badly acted show with only 1 girl with any talent. But she was very buxom at least. The horses were great and they did have a wedge tailed eagle but we really just spent the time chuckling to ourselves. Not quite the spectacular we had hoped for but it was a night out a bit different to most.
When it was finally over we were returned home and straight to bed as we will be up at 4.40am for our trip to Sicily. Surely that will be more spectacular.
