Well we are off on another adventure, not sure if this may be one of our last over here. This time we are off to gay Paree. We woke up unhappily early and got things set. Then jumped a train to Victoria & wandered up to the coach station. We are busing it over to Paris but thats ok at the price we got it for. So with the sun shining we climbed aboard and got the best 4 seats on the coach. It was a 2 hour trip down to Dover then another 90 minutes to cross the channel on the ferry. The water was nice and calm so it was lovely and relaxing with no worries about seasickness. And just like that we were in France. It was a 4 hour journey from back on the bus with a quick driver changeover at Bolougne. After a bit of a nap and lots of beautiful scenery we arrived on the outskirts of Paris & had our first view of the Eiffel tower. Super excited now we arrived at the coach park and navigated our way on the metro to pick up our studio keys, followed by a 20 minute walk to the lodgings. Unfortunately they gave us the wrong keys so I left Jac with the bags & went back to exchange them. On return it took a little while to find our room but eventually it all came together. It was nothing flash but will serve it's purpose. We had cool showers as it had been nice & warm & headed out for dinner & an explore. We had a nice big feed and as it was 10.30pm by now we thought we would catch a train & see the tower in all it's glory at night. We came up from the station & it was lit up like a big orange beacon. It was amazing to see, even though it wasn't sparkling, and a lot bigger than we thought it would be. We took lots of photos and spent time just marveling at the site before it got too chilly for Jac, so we headed home pretty exhausted. We will be back tomorrow, hopefully early, and check out the view from the top. Can't say I'm excited about the lift ride up but it will be amazing once we make it. Well if we make it.
