Crew Frivolous
Setting off this morning we had no idea where we would end up for the night. We drove along the Savannah Way and stopped to look at the Baba Didi (Jacona) campground, not very exciting and not nice. We had heard about the St Vidgeon Ruins so we went in for a look. We still don't know the significance of these ruins but they were interesting to look at. Nearby to the ruins was the Lomarieum Lagoon that was covered in beautiful lilies, very pretty. We then traveled over the Little Town River crossing for a great photo.
We drove into the Towns River campground at 11.00 and we found a touch of paradise. We all took one look at the river and decided this is where we would spend the night. After setting up the boys pulled out the fishing rods and tried to get lucky. It was a bit off putting watching the crocodiles lazing in the sun. Joe caught a catfish and a barracuda, both not good to eat but at least it was nice to catch a fish.
After collecting firewood we made a beautiful fire and just sat around camp having a few drinks.
