Crew Frivolous
Today we left for an early start to Edith Falls. We wanted to get there early to beat the heat as it was quiet a hard walk although not too long. We arrived there nice and early before the crowds arrived and headed off for a 2.6km loop walk to the falls and back. Although it was quite a rough walk it was beautiful when we got there. Nobody decided to have a swim as the breeze was quite cool and we weren't hot. It was a lovely start to the morning, nothing like a bit of exercise to get the heart started.
After Edith Falls Colin decided we would go to Douglas Springs. Wendy and Colin had stayed there 15 years before and totally enjoyed this piece of paradise. We arrived there about 12.30pm and set up camp. It was a short walk to the hot springs and I mean hot. They got up to 60 degrees in some places. Found the perfect spot for a relax in the springs, not too hot and not too cool. Back to camp where once again Colin and Wendy had people admiring the turtleback.
The boys went out and collected firewood for a fire for the night. We were in for a relaxing night listening to music as the nearby camp had started to play guitar and sing. We were having the loveliest night with lots of laughter. The neighbour’s had finally had enough of our frivolity and told us off. Did we shut up, no. Got to bed about 11.30 all tired from lots of laughter.
