Rome, Italy / Melbourne, Australia. 16th September 2011.
An early start as Peter and I caught up with Netty, Dawn and Catrina for breakfast before bidding each other farewell.
Peter and I returned to our room and packed our bags before checking out and paying €2 for each night we stayed, per person (a city tax charge).
The Concierge ordered us a shuttle to the airport which cost us €45 and an extra €5 tip. Tipping is not necessary in Italy.
Peter and I had some time to waste, so a cafe late, a baguette and a pastry. Our last carbohydrates for some time to come.
Finally we board at 1.10pm for our first destination Kuala Lumper. Changing flights for the final leg to Melbourne, landing in at 7.35pm
