For anyone out there that is not interested in flowers or gardens we apologise now....

Tonight's entertainment was the Royal Botanic Gardens!

This place is absolutely HUGE! It covers 38 hectares and displays more than 52,000 plants....impressive eh?! We decided to go for a look around after work and fortunately the sun doesn't set until after 8:30pm here at the moment so we had a good few hours of sun until dusk!

The gardens are lovely and so tranquil, being there in an evening was great as there were hardly any people around and you could just hear birds chirping...especially the Kookaburras which sound like crazy monkeys in trees!

It really does feel like you are in the rainforest in certain parts, and we really enjoyed looking around!!

This is definitely somewhere we will go back to later in the summer either to take a picnic or to visit the Terrace Tearooms to sample the scones :)
