Today, after the usual Hollywood cafe breakfast, the three of us hired bikes to cycle the Golden Gate Bridge with. It was a beautiful day for it. On the way to the bridge we cycled a coastal path which meant we could take some amazing pictures of the bridge. Actually crossing the bridge on a bike was the best way to see it. It meant we could take time to enjoy what we were looking at and take everything in - plus some exercise wasn't a bad thing! Once we crossed the bridge we made our way to Sausalito. It's a really pretty fishing town away from the busyness of the city. We stayed and had a massive lunch in a restaurant before heading back on the ferry!
A few of the habits I've picked up in New Zealand are starting to be noticed by my mum. Our bus driver used to have a really cool Kiwi accent and would sign off every speech to the bus with "cool cool". So we would all copy his accent and try and guess when he would say it. Annoyingly this has started to stick, so I say it a lot. More annoying however, my mum has noticed and tries to copy me now! Its very funny, but only because its so wrong.
I spent the rest of the day resting and packing and planning the rest of my trip. The ride really took it out of me, and I think the constant go go go is catching up with me.
By the time we were all ready to go out for food it was late so we just watched tv and ordered room service.
