This morning the three of us checked out the sea lions on pier 39 on our way to the ferry terminal. There are loads of them and its really interesting to watch them! We then had to catch our ferry to Alcatraz. After our long cue we eventually made it to the island. The audio tour was really interesting, and it being told by past inmates and prison guards made a change to the same boring old voice. It took us round the jail, showing us different cells and blocks, and explained different break out attempts at various locations. It was really good and would suggest it to anyone. After the audio tour we wondered the gardens of Alcatraz National Park before returning to San Francisco.
We then spent some time in Tiffany's, shopping for mums 50th birthday present and headed down to Chinatown to see a different aspect of the city.
We then decided to eat in a really nice Italian, enjoyed our meal before hanging on to the outside of a cable car on the way home.
