Had another really enjoyable walk along the beach, this time towards the south and at sun up. The morning light on the sandstone cliffs really brings out the orange, red, pink, and purpley colours in the rock formations. The incoming tide meant the beach changed quite significantly during the hour walk.
The relatively easy pack up, followed by a cold shower in the roofless ablutions block meant we left about 11:00am.
Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat was between us and Broome and with the "Visitors Welcome" sign on their gate we decided to drive the 10km in from the highway to check it out.
Expensive resort style accommodation and the outdoor bar and dining area are perched on top of a sand dune over looking a postcard type beach. After a quiet beer overlooking the beach we decided to have lunch there. A great decision as we enjoyed a nice hamburger and had another hour or two enjoying the view.
After about 100km in the afternoon we arrived in Broome and set up in the Palm Grove Caravan Park, a stones throw from the famous Cable Beach. It's not going to be too hard to enjoy the next few days here.
