...After a quiet night I wake up to two bits of news: two of the dogs like us more than we thought and are still here and Ingrid got sick so my mates are turning back; I'm continuing alone;
...all the other campers have left so I take the map, the GPS and...follow the dogs, who seem to know the way and are happy to show me;
...I pass through the trail's second highest pass - Paso Australia - at 776m - windy!!!
...despite a few stressful moments when the trail breaks off and after a lot of fun and beautiful scenery (some sun, some hail, snow patches) I make it to the camp area at Lake Escondida, making slow but steady progress; the dogs contribute to my success so I reward them with some scraps from my lunch and later - dinner;
...I name the shaggy dog - Palta (avocado) and the other one - Salchicha (wiener), cause he is a bit shy :)
...the lake is breathtaking but it is mighty cold and windy at night - and only two more tents this time!
