We didn't stop at Bowen beach today, just headed straight onto Airlie beach. It was about an hour drive which was probably the best stretch of road we've seen so far. It was an absolute scorcher! We arrived at Airlie beach, what a place! Absolutely stunning views but very commercialised at the same time. Looks like a major party town, think I'm going to like it here! We booked a trip to go out to the Whitsundays, although it was massively booked up so the only next available trip is Saturday. That's a little bit longer here than we'd planned but we have to see them! Next we booked our campervan into 'nomads' campsite, literally 18-30s Central! The showers are disgusting but suppose I better get use to that! There was a competition going, who ever guessed the riddle o, t, t, f, f, s, s, _,_,_ got money off a safari trip! I guessed it was e, n, t and I won! We don't have enough free days to do the trip but hey ho! We decided to try and back up all our photos so far, it's $4 for an hour on the campsite computer so I got that. I tried to use drop box for my gopro but it said it would take 2 days, not good! I had an absolute mare with it all, needless to say two hours later I hadn't managed to store any photos! I'm so bad with technology! After nearly throwing the computer out the window, Sarah and I thought it was best to go get a drink somewhere on the beach. Then we headed back to the campsite, I made penne bolognaise again, got ready and started drinking. Whilst playing a card game, a couple of guys from the hostel opposite came over to join us. We played ring of fire for a few hours before being told to leave by the security guard as we were being too loud and alcohol isn't allowed on site... What?!! So about 8 of us headed out to the main strip. I can't really tell anymore from this point as I can't remember a thing but pretty sure we had a good night!
