Check out time in the hostel was 10am, we woke up at 9.30, I ran for a quick shower and shoved all my stuff from scattered across the floor into my big rucksack. We headed down to reception all in a fluster and apologetic at 10.45 to be greeted with a totally chilled out receptionist who was like 'no worries'! Oh yea... We're in Australia! We went out the back of the hostel and were pleasantly surprised to find a nice little cafe that had amazing views of the city. We sat out on the hostel cafe balcony and had breakfast. We then picked up Paul and drove into Brisbane City centre. We found a really cute rustic little cafe and had a cup of tea while we both tried to get over our raging hangovers! Then we walked around just doing a bit of window shopping. We found a Mac make up store and topshop, it felt a bit like being in a city at home. That's the thing with city's, you could be anywhere. I already miss the Northern part of Australia where there was a lot of Australian culture and it had a more chilled vibe. We found a Starbucks and I bought an Australia starbucks mug to add to my collection of starbucks mugs. I collect them from every city/country I visit (if there is a Starbucks of course). Once we had finished in the city we drove towards our next stop Surfers Paradise to find a campsite. We were both so tired that we missed our turn off on the motorway and drove for about 20 minutes before realising! Twits! So eventually we reached Surfers and it felt like we were in Magaluf or somewhere...the streets were heaving with young people and clubs! In all honesty, Sarah and I could think of nothing better than getting to a campsite, having a cup of tea and going to bed! What light weights!! We did managed to do some washing before bed so at least we got something productive done! I was so glad when my head hit the pillow!
