We had a couple of hours to explore Cardiff before catching the train to Bristol so we headed towards the castle to have a look around. We didn't pay to go in so just looked at the big walls & had a look inside from the gate. Obviously this didn't take long & otherwise there was only really the shops to wander so we were soon back at the hotel using up their wifi before checking out just before noon. It wasn't far to the station & then only 35mins on the train to Bristol Parkway where Sue was picking us up. Of course she greeted us with a 'you flaming gallahs'. She had some other Aussie friends visiting for lunch so after meeting little Harry (he's 2 & a bit) we hung out in the backyard & gossiped, which continued once her friends had left as well. Sean was surprisingly patient with Harry who became his instant friend once he found out Sean liked trains too. Once Sue's husband Paul got home we had a couple more drinks in the backyard before heading in to get dinner underway. The catching up continued over dinner & then we watched a bit of tv after. It was great to see Sue again- it's such a pity she doesn't live much closer.
