Heading for the Brecon Beacons we stopped en-route at Caerphilly this morning to hunt dragons instead of fairies and watch a falconry display - before getting completely drenched! Once the rain stopped we paused for a picturesque lunch overlooking the hills before checking into our first Caravan Club site of 2017. Much excitement to have the familiarity of the Club and the first Tourer Explorer cache was successfully found - and it was a good one!

One last mini edventure this summer - we're starting to see the end of the year fast approaching and so there were mixed feelings as we set out this time, but it is good to be exploring new places again and we're going to try and cram as much in as we can - hopefully without completely wearing us all out before the end of the summer.... We started in Wales with a day in Cardiff - a city that none of us had visited before - and spent the morning cycling the Taf...

We left Duinrell this morning, a short drive, a long ferry, a long wait to be able to reverse out of our tight parking spot on the ferry and then an arduous drive home to find out that the M3 is still closed - will it ever be finished?! The end of the continental edventure for now but the beginning of the UK summer holidays........

Breakfast in France, lunch in Fleet - fish and chips of course... and so the washing begins.... and the planning for Scandinavia in a couple of weeks....

Hurrah! We eventually set off, a little later than originally planned.... After a few mini edventures without Bob we were all pleased to get back on the road, as this was what this year was all about.
