Despite staying the night in Delphi with the potential to be on site when it opened we stupidly took our time and arrived just about the same time as several busloads of students so spent more time than we should have avoiding teenagers all talking on their mobile phones as we wondered around...
Firstly, the museum, hoping it would be as good as the Acropolis museum but sadly not so for the children and despite the amazing exhibits we moved on quite quickly to walk up the hill to the ruins. Although we are all starting to get a bit 'ruined out' it was hard not to be impressed by the beauty of Delphi and we spent a long time sitting gazing out over the sight and imagining life here for the ancient Greeks.
Eventually our stomachs forced us to leave and we found a lovely cafe on the walk back to enjoy some Greek food - including olive marmalade!
Then went back to Bob to get the tennis racquets and enjoy the tennis court - we have found quite a lot of Greek towns with great football/basketball/tennis courts with the playground in the centre of town... well used by the local children and us too if we can!
Finally a litter collect on the way back to Bob along the roadside....strewn with plastic bottles which can surely only have been thrown out of car windows 181 items picked up.
