That's Bob in the photo, just by the snow-topped mountain, parked just outside the really quaint ski-resort and we're in Greece. Who knew? We didn't, we left Athens this morning and despite the satnavs best attempts to get us squashed we managed to get out and head for the hills.

You can read a guide book but you still have no idea what it is going to look like until you are there and this was not what I was expecting. It's a bit of a detour and a bit of a long drive and so a bit of a do we/don't we but so far I'm very glad that we have and we haven't even made it to the actual centre of the world (for the ancient Greeks) yet.

The views are amazing but yes, this is the coldest we have been for a while!
