I feel like we have already learnt a lot about Vikings on this trip, Daniel even told me in Stockholm that we 'have done Vikings, I know it all' but we surprised ourselves and learnt some new things today. Seeing the 1000-year-old Viking ships was fairly impressive and watching the story of their discovery and long excavation and preservation was fascinating but so too was becoming part of the Viking army and taking part in a raid on England - and watching a Viking attack with his sword to see the effect on flesh and bone (with and without armour).

The main attraction for the day though was the opportunity for Daniel to make his own boat whilst Megan and I took the opportunity to weave our own cord and engrave a Viking necklace. It was definitely worth the visit and a great last Viking trip in Scandinavia.
