We arrived in Pai in the evening, it looked quite nice and small but was also hippy central. We arrived in Bangkok pretty early and after dumping our stuff at the hotel, we went back to MBK. Te traffic was really bad so we were stuck in a boiling taxi for over an hour- not nice! So when we booked our transport to Phuket, it had said we would arrive at about 3:30. But after over 12 hours of traveling, a tuktuk, a ferry, a bus, a mini bus, an hour and a half wait and another mini bus we FINALLY arrived in Phuket! We decided to splash out a bit and stay in a nicer hotel for two days. When we got here we got a voucher for a free 1hr Thai massage and vouchers for a BBQ dinner. The rooms are do nice, with comfy beds, free cakes and the nicest shower and bathroom!! We dumped our stuff and went for breakfast. Sadly we ended up at a really crappy place and we were all still hungry after! We went back to the hotel and went for a swim in the pool- so refreshing as its still so hot...

Even just arriving in the airport you can see how different Thailand is from India! We're not used to everything being so modern!! It was about 6 in the morning when we left the airport and even the taxi journey was a completely different experience. No horns and people stick to the lanes and the roads are smooth- such a luxury!!
